Rev. Raymond G. Coffman has served as Pastor of the Log Cabin Community Church since the fall of 2013. "I am honored", says Coffman, "to be a part of a church with over 100-year history of openness and acceptance that continues to this day. Raymond strives to be sensitive to the everyday struggles and stress life sometimes throws our way. His passion is to create a safe place at the Log Cabin for personal and spiritual development. The beauty of our church is that the doors are always open to all who visit or call Log Cabin home. A native of Washington, D.C., he is a graduate of Liberty University with a major in Theology and Psychology and holds a master’s degree in Spiritual Care & Counseling. Currently, Raymond is Manager of Spiritual Health and Chaplain at Wellstar Health System. His ministry has always involved helping people of all ages, cultures, faiths, and beliefs. "Life is richer,” Coffman states, "when we are open to accepting and learning from each other.”
Raymond and his wife, Barbara, reside in Smyrna and are parents of an adult son, Clark, and a very spoiled Miniature Schnauzer named Zoey. In his spare time, Raymond loves to try new recipes, visit new places, and occasionally write letters with his favorite fountain pen.
